The Common Triggers of Male
Facial & Body Acne
"Why Do Men
Get Acne"
Physical Activity
The increased
physical activity that is part
of a man's everyday life makes
that individual more vulnerable
to breakouts of pimples and
blemishes. The physical
exertion that occurs during
strenuous activity like sports
causes a man to sweat profusely
and opens the skins pores which
provide a perfect environment
for acne.
After a game, a
man will often take a quick hot
shower and rush out. Your
body is still sweating and
overheating and working hard to
cool itself. The toxins
inside your body are being
excreted through your skin and
with all the water lost through
all his physical activity, the
body becomes a target for
bacteria growth.

Hormones & Oil Production
Men have the male
hormone Androgen in their body
which is also responsible for
the growth of acne. The
Androgen hormone causes the
sebaceous glands to expand while
elevating the level of oil
production. This then
leads to the build-up and
blockage of a developing blemish
which can be hard to get rid of.
The skins oil glands are very
active in men and this is the
culprit to many outbreaks of
blemishes and unsightly zits.

Friction and Sports Gear
Body acne also
develops from friction on the
skins surface that is brought on
by clothing, work gear like
helmets, and protective sports
gear which harbors moisture and
bacteria. It is hard to
eliminate these factors but the
most important thing you can do
is to wear loose fitting
clothing, and dry out your
sports gear immediately after
use. If possible try to
have it professionally cleaned
on a regular basis, this will
help kill the bacteria living
inside and will also cut done on
the odour.
Daily Regime
When all else
fails there is still something
that you can do help lower the
degree to which body acne
occurs. Skincare is just
not for women. Many men
are adopting a daily routine to
help protect their skin from
unwanted breakouts and clusters
of zits. If you haven't
started a routine yet, you
should, it will help guard
against future breakouts and
will help in getting rid of the
blemishes you already have.
