| An
individuals skin type will often vary
over the course of their life.
That is why it is so important to
understand the characteristics that
define the different types of skin.
The type of product from face wash,
cleanser to moisturizer and it's
effectiveness at solving your skin
problems will only work if they are
suited to your current skin type.
So if you want clear looking skin and
want to successfully and effectively rid
your skin from unwanted blemishes then
first lets find out what skin type you
have.
Normal Skin:
A person who has
normal skin generally experiences a
facial complexion that is clear in
appearance with none to very little
blemishes. The skins pores are
often small to medium size. The
elasticity of the skin is tight and
smooth to the touch while the skin tone
is even in appearance.
Oily Skin:
Skin that appears
shiny and oily to the touch can be
categorized as oily skin. This
excess of oil production often causes
the skin to have more blemishes like the
common pimple, blackhead and white head.
Dry Skin:
For people with
dry skin they often find that their skin
is very sensitive to temperature
fluctuations. The skin often feels
very tight, and may even experience some
peeling or visible patches of dry,
flaking skin. The skins tone is
often matte in appearance and if not
properly cared for will become drier and
more wrinkled in complexion as you age.
Your pores tend to be small so your
blemishes also tend to be smaller and
more infrequent. Dry skin is often
associated with seasonal changes but in
most cases it is linked to the
dehydration of the sin and the body's
production of oil.
Combination Skin:
The majority of
people with combination skin tend to
experience a T-zone area that is oilier
than other areas of their face and body.
This T-zone focuses on the forehead, the
nose and the chin and because of the
higher levels of oil production in these
areas; this is where most of the
breakouts occur.
Sensitive Skin:
For people with
sensitive skin, extra care must be
exercised. In most cases products
that don't affect a normal skin person
will bring out a reaction in a sensitive
skin individual. The skin is more
susceptible to the ingredients that are
found in every day cosmetics and
moisturizer products.
The skin
will break out in a rash, often an
allergic response to the ingredients and
perfumes that are commonly found in
these beauty products. Finding a
product that works is often a time
consuming process that can be expensive.
For many the only solution is to turn to
an all-natural/organic product
specifically designed for sensitive
skin.
