Acne breakouts caused by make-up?
Most recognized brands of make-up shell out thousands of dollars in advertising and yet they contain artificial ingredients that can irritate your skin and actually promote acne growth! That's right, these skincare products may be blamed for your recent explosion of pimples.
Even if the products you are using are made from all-natural ingredients there is also a good chance that you are using the products for a longer length of time than recommended. Make-up does have an expiry date and should be replaced on a regular basis so as to eliminate the accumulation of dirt, oil, and bacteria.
With increased use, your make-up is building up a layer of dirt and bacteria, especially on the make-up pads and brushes which are in constant contact with your face and hands. In almost all cases of acne breakouts, the main culprit is excessive oil production and the accumulation of dirt & bacteria.
Reduce your chances of breaking out without giving up your make-up.
How can you stop and prevent acne and pimple breakouts from happening?
For starters you can start shopping around for products that use all natural ingredients, ingredients that are labeled as non-comedogenic (does not cause or aggravate acne). Their product line is non-comedogenic, hypo-allergenic and not tested on animals. Bonus!
Secondly, you should throw out your old make-up and begin to get in the habit of dating your make-up & tossing it out after the right amount of time. You should also buy replacement make-up pads and brushes to switch it up in the near future.
